Changes in trade with the UK from Februay 1st 2020
from Februay 1st 2020

From January 1st 2021, the UK will be considered a third country for EU members as it leaves the European Single Market. This means that both the EU and the UK will apply the usual third country tariffs to EU goods.

To prepare for these changes, a transition period will apply from February 1st 2020. We recommend that you also use the resources listed below to prepare for the effects of Brexit:

  • The British web portal “GOV.UK” offers customised information for companies after completing a short questionnaire.
  • The IHK website offers a checklist that clarifies the generally important points.

In addition, MAGNESIA GmbH has written an official letter that addresses the most important questions in this uncertain situation. We will be happy to provide you with this if required. Stay informed and prepare for the upcoming changes.
