In the course of the COVID-19 pan­dem­ic, require­ments and reg­u­la­tions with­in the logis­tics indus­try, espe­cial­ly for ship­ping, have been changed. This is cur­rent­ly mak­ing it extreme­ly chal­leng­ing to main­tain sup­ply chains worldwide.

As a result, the avail­able car­go space for all receiv­ing coun­tries is very lim­it­ed. In addi­tion, freight rates have risen sharply and are only valid for a short time. The sit­u­a­tion for air freight ship­ments is sim­i­lar­ly tense. Per­son­nel for load­ing and unload­ing may only be deployed under cer­tain con­di­tions and in cer­tain quan­ti­ties. This sig­nif­i­cant­ly delays the pro­cess­ing of freight.
