As of Febru­ary 12, 2024, trima­gne­si­um dici­tra­te, anhy­d­ro­us is offi­ci­al­ly appro­ved as a food addi­ti­ve with the E num­ber E 345 (i) in the EU. This update of Regu­la­ti­on (EC) 1333/2008 opens up exci­ting oppor­tu­ni­ties for the food sup­ple­ment industry.

What does that mean for you?

The appli­ca­ti­on and aut­ho­riza­ti­on of trima­gne­si­um dici­tra­te, anhy­d­ro­us as a food addi­ti­ve (also known as E‑number) stan­dar­di­zes and regu­la­tes the EU-wide use of this mine­ral raw mate­ri­al. Trima­gne­si­um dici­tra­te, anhy­d­ro­us can now be used as an addi­ti­ve in solid or che­wa­ble sup­ple­ments in accordance with the appro­ved criteria.
