Kaolin (chi­na clay), mag­ne­sium car­bon­ate and cal­ci­um car­bon­ate are all min­er­al pow­ders that are often used as a sub­sti­tute for talc in colour cos­met­ics such as blush and pow­der. They have a sim­i­lar tex­ture and help to mat­ti­fy the skin.
